CreationCall is a ChristCentral Initiative, focusing on our God-given responsibility to be good stewards of the earth that God created. We recognise that we live in a growing crisis of climate change and ecological breakdown. We want to encourage and support you and your churches to make faithful responses in your own situations, as part of your worship to God. There are lots of great organisations that can help you on your journey, so we have handpicked a few of the best for you. There are also lots of practical ideas, from others within ChristCentral, collectively with many years’ experience in living a greener life and making a difference where they are.

"I’m very excited about CreationCall - a ChristCentral apostolic initiative - encouraging us all in our responsibility towards caring for the environment. At the very beginning of creation, God’s commission was for us “to take care” of the earth and in so doing, bring His Kingdom reign to this truly beautiful planet! Even in a fallen world, we are daily to live this out and in so doing prophetically, look forward to the day when He will make all things new!"

Jeremy Simpkins - ChristCentral Team Leader

Science and Theology

From the very beginning, God has given us a mandate to care for His creation. Through our modern scientific understanding, we know how our actions impact the natural world. The evidence is unequivocal that humans are warming the planet, damaging the environment and threatening the very survival of many species of plants and animals. The church should have a different relationship with nature and be leading the way on environmental issues and climate justice. Christ came to redeem all of creation to Himself and we get to be part of that mission.

Global Impact

ChristCentral is a global family of churches, so although the initial team is based in the UK, we will be partnering with organisations and churches across the globe. Our churches in Zambia are already experiencing devastating changes to their climate. CreationCall seeks to highlight the challenges faced by many of our brothers and sisters across the globe and use their stories to encourage us all to do more to stop climate change!

Through Foundations for Farming and the BREADtrust, we want to support the churches who are hardest hit by environmental changes. ChristCentral already partner with JubileePlus, who are also working to advocate for creation care and climate justice. There are already great things happening and we want to share success stories and stand with those who are suffering hardships.

Practical Ideas

"Before you finish eating breakfast, you’ve depended on more than half the world”.
Quote from Martin Luther King’s: “A Christmas Sermon on Peace” in 1967

Whether you think about it or not, every single thing you do affects the climate, the environment and the world in which we live, either for good or bad. Our everyday choices can make a massive difference to the planet we live on and even to people who live across the other side of the world. Recognising our environmental impact, we aim to encourage churches to make faithful responses in their own situations. In this section, we will look at ways you can make small, medium or big changes to the way you live. We will encourage you to look at how the actions of your church affect the planet, corporately and individually, as well as share testimonies from our church family. We also want to help you and your church to pray for our planet.
