York City Church is delighted to invite you to a one-day symposium on Romans 9-11 featuring Professor John Barclay from Durham University. We'd love you to join us as we explore the significance of these three chapters of Romans for Christian faith and practice. The event is free of charge and includes a buffet lunch provided by Yahala Mataam, a social enterprise hosted by York City Church.

John Barclay - is Lightfoot Professor of Divinity at the Department of Theology and Religion at Durham University, where he teaches the New Testament, His research and teaching are currently focussed on the apostle Paul, and he recently wrote Paul and the Power of Grace, which includes several chapters on the theme of grace and mercy in the letter to the Romans. He is married with three grown up children (and three grandchildren) and lives in a former mining village just outside Durham.
