Have we made a false separation between Gospel love and Gospel power? Do we need to choose between serving people and being channels for power encounters with Jesus?
Natalie Williams and Chris Duerden will be bringing testimony and teaching to lead us into greater faith and expectation for bringing the Kingdom of God to people in poverty with both love and power.
We shall also have plenty of time to develop intimacy in worship, and to receive prayer and prophetic ministry from our team.
Natalie Williams grew up in relative poverty in the deprived seaside town of Hastings. She is now chief executive of national Christian charity Jubilee+ and speaks and writes on poverty, class, justice, and the mercy of God.
Natalie describes her latest book, 'Tis Mercy All – the power of mercy in a polarised world' as her life's message. Her previous books include Invisible Divides (on class issues in the church) and The Myth of the Undeserving Poor.
Natalie is passionate about the church being a place of overflowing mercy, especially for those trapped in poverty.
Chris Duerden is the Chief Operations Officer for Jubilee+, looking after projects, HR, etc. She lives in NE Derbyshire and is part of Jubilee Church Derby with her husband Alasdaire. Her career history includes the Civil Service, Direct Sales and administering the ChristCentral School of Leadership. She joined Jubilee+ in April 2023 where she has developed a passion for helping Christians understand God's heart for the vulnerable and marginalised.
