Fiesta has always been that... a true Fiesta.  (Read Spanish version below)
Why? Because there is celebration, there is dancing, there is food (lots of food), there is music, there is joy, and there is unity. The latter is quintessential of our expression as a family of churches. Unity and not uniformity. A family of churches that, we rejoice in our differences and are united by the gospel, life in the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This year was a magnificent year. We had an attendance of around 500 brothers and sisters from 10 different cities in Mexico, as well as brothers from the USA and the UK.

From creche and kidswork to youth, the workshops and the main sessions, to what was going on months before the event “behind the scenes”, such as the conception of the main theme that was “SYNERGIA”, Greek for synergy, inspired by the texts in Ephesians 4, specifically v4-5: “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

At all times we always see the Lord encouraging us and paving the way for us to gather, knowing that we can do more together than apart!

Fiesta is an event that has evolved over the years, where, for example, you can see in action the impetus and energy of fresh blood in the family, such as the new team that is leading the youth (Andrés, Natan and Itzel) mixed with the experience and peripheral vision of the members of the apostolic team (Pepe, Eliseo, Nico, Ches) who met together over a period of months to plan and pray for Fiesta.

In turn, it is a very interesting blessing to see the multifaceted grace of God expressed through people’s diverse gifts and service during the weekend. For example, we have George López, a graphic designer who is a church elder and commissioned the art for the event. We have Salvador and Miguel, elders from a church in Zapopan who set up a café in a small cabin with snacks and drinks during the event. Ana Laura and her team from the church in Río Verde did a wonderful job with the children, Ada and her team took care of all the babies and toddlers who attended. We received prophetic words from many people like Vero Hurtado (Pepe Chema's wife) and Clare Bell. Ches led us in praise alongside a band made up of musicians from 5 different churches, and we had a young multimedia team who were attentive to each moment, in the projection, cameras, sound system and social networks. There was also a group of staff led by Miguel from different churches who served diligently in each meeting.

Some of our guests this year included David Fernandez, a friend who is planting a church in Mexico City and giving conferences around the country promoting his recently published book on social media care for teens and how parents of teenagers should be involved in this. Our friend Allen Rossi, from Cumbria in England, was serving young people where, by the grace of God, in one night we had 5 responses to the gospel and many hands raised to give up emotional wounds to God and seek new encounters with him.

We had seminars that greatly enriched and edified the attendees, talking about our doctrine and why we believe what we believe. We also had seminars for couples and others for young people.

In the main sessions, it was excellent to receive teaching from our friend Warren Stroup from The River Center Church in Lebanon, Oregon, USA and also from our dear friend of years Bruce Hoffman from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, from Miguel Vázquez from the Conexión con Dios church in Zapopan, Mexico, and from Pepe Chema Herrera, leader of the apostolic team that serves ChristCentral churches in Latin America.

During the main meetings, we also prayed for the sick, for the churches, and for the prophetic words received.

Today more than ever we realise how valuable it is to be part of a family that loves God and seeks to build each other up.

Yes, at Fiesta we experience diversity of gifts and a great time of celebration and community. But mainly, we experience the people of God united to celebrate and praise freely, as joyful sons and daughters having been reached by the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoying the grace of God that has united us and fills us with hope for the future.

We are very excited about what will happen in 2023.

Fiesta siempre ha sido eso.. una verdadera Fiesta.
¿Por qué? Porque hay celebración, hay baile, hay comida (mucha comida), hay música, hay gozo, y hay unidad. Siendo esto último la pieza elemental de nuestra expresión como familia de iglesias. La unidad y no la uniformidad. Una familia de iglesias que aunque cada una diferente, nos une el evangelio, la vida en la gracia de Dios y la guía del Espíritu Santo.

Este año fue un año magnífico. Tuvimos una asistencia de alrededor de 500 hermanos y hermanas de 10 ciudades diferentes en México, hermanos de USA y de UK.

Desde el trabajo con los bebés y niños, los jóvenes, los talleres y las sesiones principales hasta lo que sucedió meses antes del evento digamos “detrás del telón” cómo la concepción de la temática principal que fue, “SYNERGIA” griego para sinergía, inspirado por los textos en Efesios 4, específicamente Efesios 4:4-6: "Hay un solo cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, así como también ustedes fueron llamados en una misma esperanza de su vocación; un solo Señor, una sola fe, un solo bautismo, un solo Dios y Padre de todos, que está sobre todos, por todos y en todos".

En todo momento vemos siempre al Señor impulsándonos y respaldándonos para reunirnos. Sabiendo que podemos hacer más juntos que separados.

Fiesta es un evento que ha evolucionado a través de los años, donde por ejemplo, puedes ver en acción el ímpetu y ánimo de la sangre fresca en la familia, como es el equipo nuevo que está liderando a los jóvenes (Andrés, Natan e Itzel) mezclado con la experiencia y visión periférica de los miembros del equipo apostólico (Pepe, Eliseo, Nico, Ches) que durante meses nos reunimos para organizar y orar por Fiesta.

A su vez, es una bendición muy interesante el encontrar la multiforme gracia de Dios expresada a través de los dones diversos y el servicio de la gente durante el fin de semana, por ejemplo tenemos un diseñador que también es anciano de una iglesia, quién se encargó del arte para el evento. Tenemos a Salvador y Miguel ancianos de una iglesia en Zapopan que montaron una cafetería en una pequeña cabaña con snacks y bebidas durante el evento, Ana Laura y su equipo de la iglesia en Río Verde, hicieron un trabajo maravilloso con los niños, Ada y su equipo sirvieron cuidando todos los bebés que asistieron, recibimos palabras proféticas de personas cómo Vero Hurtado (esposa de Pepe Chema) y Clare Bell, Ches nos dirigió en alabanza junto con una banda formada por músicos de 5 iglesias diferentes, tuvimos un equipo jóvenes en el área de multimedia atento a cada momento, en la proyección, cámaras, sistema de sonido y redes sociales, también, un grupo de staff liderado por Miguel de diferentes iglesias que sirvió en cada reunión diligentemente.

Algunos de nuestros invitados este año incluyeron a David Fernandez, amigo que está plantando una iglesia en Ciudad de México y dando conferencias en todo el país acerca de el libro que recientemente publicó que habla del cuidado y manejo de redes sociales para adolescentes y cómo los padres de adolescentes se deben involucrar en esto. Nuestro amigo Allen Rossi, desde Cumbria en Inglaterra estuvo sirviendo a los jóvenes donde por la gracia de Dios, en una noche tuvimos 5 respuestas al evangelio y muchas manos levantadas para entregar a Dios heridas emocionales y buscar nuevos encuentros con Dios.

Tuvimos talleres que enriquecieron y edificaron mucho a los asistentes. Hablando de nuestra doctrina y porqué creemos lo que creemos, también hubo talleres para matrimonios y talleres para jóvenes.

En las sesiones principales, fue excelente recibir enseñanza de parte de nuestro amigo Warren Stroup de la iglesia The River Center, en Lebanon, Oregon, USA. De nuestro querido amigo de años Bruce Hoffman de Los Mochis, Sinaloa, de Miguel Vázquez de la iglesia Conexión con Dios en Zapopan México y de parte de Pepe Chema Herrera, líder del equipo apostólico que sirve a las iglesias de ChristCentral en latinoamérica.

Durante las reuniones principales, también oramos por enfermos, por las iglesias, y por las palabras proféticas recibidas.

Hoy más que nunca nos damos cuenta cuán valioso es formar parte de una familia que ama a Dios y que busca edificarse mutuamente.

Sí, en Fiesta encontramos diversidad de dones y un gran tiempo de celebración y comunidad. Pero principalmente, encontramos al pueblo de Dios unido para celebrar y alabar libremente, cómo hijos e hijas gozosos de haber sido alcanzados por el evangelio de Jesucristo y disfrutar de la gracia de Dios que nos ha unido y nos llena de esperanza hacia el futuro.

Estamos muy emocionados por lo que sucederá en el 2023.
