I am sure we have all been shocked by the devastation caused by the earthquake in Türkiye this week and you may be wondering how you can respond... 

 

We’ve had the following message through from Simon Holley, who leads the Catalyst team, regarding the situation in Türkiye and Syria… Catalyst are taking a lead on this on behalf of our wider Newfrontiers family.

 

Simon said, “I know the churches in Türkiye and Syria are so grateful to be part of a broader family right now. Our prayers make a difference! Two things to make you aware of - firstly Catalyst are hosting a prayer meeting 7-8pm Friday 10th Feb on Zoom.  This is open to anyone from your church to join. We will have people close to the situation sharing. Details are below and free for you to share as you see fit.

Secondly, Catalyst are co-ordinating an emergency financial response. Some of this money will be used directly by our churches on the ground to respond to the situation (they have already sent 4 teams to the affected areas). Some of it we will give to other partner organisations that we are confident will steward the money well in bringing relief to those most affected. Again, if anyone wants to join us in giving then we will of course steward those funds on your behalf.”
