Strengthening Partnership In Ukraine

ChristCentral Leaders Form Apostolic Partnership in Ukraine

KYIV, UKRAINE – ChristCentral church leaders from the UK and Ukraine are strengthening their partnership with a focus on mutual support and shared purpose. Jeremy Simpkins and Igor Bogomaz, key figures in the ChristCentral family, recently spoke about their experience and the importance of continued collaboration.

Jeremy, visiting Ukraine, shared his profound impression of the local churches. "It's been such an amazing experience for us to hear what God's doing here," he said. He described being "impacted by the joy, the faith, their love for Jesus" and emphasised that UK churches have much to learn from their Ukrainian counterparts.

The visit is an expression of what Jeremy calls an "apostolic partnership," where leaders learn from one another and work together. He encouraged every ChristCentral church in the UK to partner with a church in Ukraine. Jeremy highlighted the biblical concept of koinonia, meaning "to link arms together, to partner together, to work together for purpose." While noting that the relationship is a lot of fun, he stressed that central to the partnership is to bless churches in Ukraine; which in turn will bless our churches in the UK. "I think we're gonna get more from this partnership than they will," he confessed.

Igor echoed this sentiment, expressing gratitude for the visit. "He brought us apostolic refreshment and encouragement to carry on," he said of Jeremy. Igor noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, ChristCentral has been a tremendous source of support, allowing local churches to continue their ministry.

With the war ongoing, Igor underscored the need for continued help. "Your help, your support will be necessary for us to continue to ensure that the Kingdom of God spreads in our war-torn country, which really is possible!" he stated. He asked for continued prayer and support, including financial contributions and visits from UK leaders who can offer encouragement.

Both leaders concluded with a shared belief in their collective strength. "We really can do more together!" said Igor, a sentiment that perfectly captures the spirit of the growing partnership.
