The Crisis in La Guaira
On the 24th of June, two powerful earthquakes caused massive devastation in my home country of Venezuela, particularly in the town of La Guaira. My name is Yan; I was born in Venezuela and have been living in the UK for the last 12 years. Almost two months have passed since the disaster, but the situation on the ground remains far from ideal. Many people have been displaced and left homeless, including numerous children.

Partnering with Hogar Bambi
To support the relief effort, we have decided to partner with Hogar Bambi Venezuela, a dedicated children's home in the country. Having volunteered with them during my university years, I can attest to the vital work they do. Immediately following the earthquakes, their team visited emergency shelters to ensure all affected children were accounted for.

Now that the initial emergency response has passed, Hogar Bambi is focusing on sustainable, long-term support. In order to meet the increased demand, they are expanding their capacity by reconditioning existing spaces to ensure they are fully prepared to accommodate and care for more children.

OUR PARTNERS: Silklife Church & Hogar Bambi Venezuela
Silklife Church has helped launch this appeal in response to the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, motivated by a desire to bring hope and practical support to those affected.

Our trusted in-country partner, Hogar Bambi Venezuela, has been caring for vulnerable children since 1992. Following the earthquakes, they have been providing emergency support and preparing to welcome more children in need of safety and care.

Together, we are helping create a safe place where vulnerable children can begin to recover and rebuild their lives.
