Equipping the Next Generation of Youth Leaders
Over the past few months, a growing vision has emerged to help equip and release youth leaders and their teams across our ChristCentral family. Inspired by Ephesians 4:11–13, this initiative aims to support youth ministries as they serve and empower our young people.
To facilitate this, a dedicated WhatsApp community has been launched to serve as a hub for connection, with an aim to also provide practical resources which local teams can implement. The main focus centres on sustainable and relational leadership, prioritising long-term discipleship and providing a space for leaders to share ideas, testimonies, and mutual encouragement.
Content and discussions within the community will focus on key practical and spiritual areas:
- Building healthy, life-giving cultures in youth ministry
- Running effective and intentional team nights
- Navigating pastoral care and key leadership challenges
- Cultivating prayer, worship, and dependence on God
- Supporting young people through major transitions, such as moving from primary to secondary school
Alongside the WhatsApp community, we hope to be able to set up some termly Zoom gatherings featuring guest speakers. These online sessions would provide additional opportunities for vision sharing, equipping and encouragment. These evenings would be aimed at church youth leaders & their teams.
This new platform is designed to sit alongside and support existing initiatives, including our NextGen prayer gatherings, working in partnership to strengthen both leadership and prayer across our churches. Youth leaders and team members are invited to join the WhatsApp group to stay connected and journey together as a wider ChristCentral family.
