Emerge Offering 2026
During our time together at Emerge, we’ll be taking up an offering. Everything given will be used towards the following two areas: investing in future Emerge events and supporting Living Hope Community Church, one of our newest church plants.
Investing in Emerge
Our twenties are a big season of life. It’s often when we make the major decisions about work or study and relationships, and when we work out where to put down roots. For many of us, this is also when the faith we’ve grown up with, or perhaps have recently found, becomes our own. We don’t want anyone going through these momentous decisions alone. Our hope is that those in their 20s will walk through this season together, rooted in Jesus and connected to our wider family of churches.
We have a vision to grow Emerge in the coming years, so that there are more opportunities for 20s from across ChristCentral to come together, to worship and be equipped. At its heart, Emerge is about helping one another find our place in the calling God has given us together. Part of this offering will help make that happen. We want to keep future events affordable, so that cost doesn’t become a barrier for anyone, and we’d love to develop new gatherings along with the training and resources to support them.
Supporting Living Hope Community Church
Living Hope began meeting publicly in September 2026 at the Shirecliffe Community Centre in North Sheffield. Around 50 people, mostly from City Church Sheffield, have gone to help support the plant. It is being led by Paul & Louise Haine, Mark & Beth Willoughby and Joe & Helen Barker.
Their vision is:
- To be a family of people devoted to Jesus and one another, living in grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
- To be a church that joins people of different nationalities, ages and backgrounds together.
- To be a church that transforms communities in the north of Sheffield by sharing the hope of Jesus.
- To be a church that has a heart for the nations.
