In Depth Training.
Welcome to School of Leadership PLUS, which is a resource for church leaders and others involved in the key issues of the Church and its mission. School of Leadership PLUS is a series of two-day training events taking place in Sheffield in association with the School of Leadership.
Participation is available both Online on Zoom and In-Person in Sheffield using our new 'hybrid' format, which has been well-tested on School of Leadership and has proved very successful.
In-person attendance will be subject to government regulations regarding COVID-19 and therefore in-person numbers will be restricted. The Jubilee Centre is a COVID-19 secure venue, with full protocols and risk assessments in place.

School of Leadership PLUS aims to provide in-depth training in two areas: the study of Scripture and specific key issues facing the Church today. You are welcome to come to any or all of the modules run. Please do invite others from your church – or other churches you are working with.
To apply for a module, click on the relevant link below. You must apply separately to each module you would like to attend.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to Sheffield!

First Corinthians (Wednesday 31st March & Thursday 1st April 2021)
First Corinthians: A case study of mission and community in a ‘multicultural’ and ‘secular’ world
Over these two days we will engaging with the overall text of 1 Corinthians, getting a feel for the main themes and concerns that lie behind this remarkable and vitally important NT letter.
Paul was addressing key problems in the church in Corinth and at the same time formulating a way for the church to function well and reach out to its community along some tough cultural and spiritual frontlines - a sexually liberal society filled with religious idolatry. Does that sound familiar? There is so much to learn from this surprising and provocative letter. Do come and join us for two days together. SLPlus modules are aimed to equip and refresh church leadership teams and key activists. I hope to see you in person or online!

Over these two days we’ll be looking at multiple angles of corporate worship – from building song lists that allow for the use of Spiritual gifts, where those spiritual gifts can then be used in developing musicians, working together with Eldership teams and seeing how production fits in with it all. These days seek to encourage, equip and give vision to those involved in corporate worship, alongside helping Elders (or senior leaders) understand and work alongside musicians and creatives to see the fullest expression of worship released within their local church.
